Several Perfect Things

Warm sunlight shown through eaves of golden hair.
The trees stood still in windless perpetuity.
Our heartbeats powered the feet of many youth.
Drums heated the dusk that ensued.
I took her by the hand and lead her to a world of brave bands.
No cacophonies tonight, I sprouted truth.
We belonged in each other's light arms.
Two peaking out from the dark so as to not become blind.
Toes twinkling with curious inklings.
Ruffled blankets sing as they hover over the grass.
It was all beautifully composed.
I suppose the universe was for nobody but us.
To the stars, we sought to climb.
Belts and lace and lips advancing in time.
Everything else bowed in muted softness.
Doves and cupid and cartoon hearts.
Conceiving what it looked like to a passing shooting star.
Diluting the memories of the day into measly ash.
Two willing forces clash in elegance.
My dearest nebulae.
Pride and vision and exhilaration.
The most stunning things in life existed in several moments.
